Brian Kennedy to charm audiences in Stockton
Well into his UK tour, gifted singer Brain Kennedy has scheduled a stop in ARC to showcase his talent to the masses on Wednesday 23 June.
The singer-songwriter made a breakthrough on the music scene in 1990 with his debut album The Great War Of Words, including the highly successful singles Captured and Town, both of which are popular favourites among his live music repertoire.
Joining Van Morrison on his Blues and Soul World Tour for a period of 6 years, Kennedy has performed music world legends including Joni Mitchell, Ray Charles, and Bob Dylan. Providing backing vocals on Van Morrison’s Days Like This and Back On Top allowed Kennedy to work more closely with the Belfast rhythm and blues marvel.
Kennedy’s 1996 album A Better Man achieved quadruple platinum status in Ireland. His latest album Interpretations, released in 2008 has him cruising effortlessly across various musical genres and eras with songs from the past and present, and marks another milestone in the long journey he has taken from harmonising with emergency service sirens after growing up during the period of conflict in Northern Ireland.
Brian will mesmerise listeners at ARC as he communicates his belief that ‘music is the language of emotion’ on stage.
Whether a first-timer, or seasoned fan, ARC invites audiences to the point of no return; when they see that smile, and hear that voice labelled ‘a voice to charm the angels’.
