Community

Welcome to ARC’s Community Arts Development pages.

Here you will find exactly how ARC is working directly within the local community in Parkfield and Mill Lane Stockton, Stockton-on-Tees in general, and the wider Tees Valley.

Thanks to support from Neighbourhood Management’s Pathfinder Programme in Parkfield and Mill Lane, we have been able to appoint a Community Arts Development Officer - Jenni Owen - to develop arts education activity within the TS18 area surrounding ARC.

Working in partnership with key organisations such as Stockton International Family Centre, The Cornerhouse Youth Project, Local Resident Associations, Stockton Youth Service, The Youth Offending Service, Stockton Asylum Support and many more, we aim to provide sustainable opportunities for local residents to access a wide range of cultural activities.

Through working in partnership we hope to embed ARC’s ethos into the framework of other organisations, meeting their agendas and offering creative solutions to a huge range of issues.

Please read below for some examples of how we are working with our local community in terms of outreach, and by encouraging residents to take advantage ARC and it’s fantastic facilities.
