Peg Powler Summer Show

Peg Powler Gallery is an independent, D.I.Y. local art gallery founded and curated by artists AJ Garrett and Rebecca Little. Named after a legendary creature who according to folklore lives in the River Tees, Peg Powler Gallery find and present their favourite, most unusual art from the region that might not be seen any where else and provide places to go and enjoy art, meet people, relax and be creative.

The Peg Powler Summer Show is taking place on floor one of ARC. A group show presenting a diverse display of the creative efforts of artists Peg Powler knows and loves - an alternative view of the local art scene and taste of what can be expected from Peg Powler Gallery.

Artists include Kingsley Chapman, Vicky Duffy, Shaun Elliot and Danielle Velterelle.

The exhibition runs until the end of August but Peg Powler is always about more than art on walls so look out for open events throughout August where you will be able to have a leisurely guided tour, check out special exhibits that are not on show during the rest of the week, look through our library of art books and small press comics and zines, draw, meet people and relax.
