Trespass

Trespass is a double-bill that challenges StopGAP’s five resident dancers to draw on their individual physicalities.

Working with Spanish-based choreographer Thomas Noone and Rob Tannion, these performers with and without disabilities reach deep within themselves to present two exceptional new dance pieces.

Thomas Noone’s Within uses forceful dance to create a journey into an imaginary female world with music by Pedro Navarrete. Splinter, directed by Rob Tannion is dance theatre that strikes at the heart of the struggle.

Driven by Jim Pinchen’s thunderous Japanese soundscape StopGAP’s five dancers split at the seams, hungrily devouring the dance. Thrown into another world will the group subsist or splinter?

StopGAP Dance Company is a contemporary dance company consisting of dancers with physical and learning disabilities and non-disabled dancers.

The company is the UK’s top integrated dance company challenging traditional notions about dance by using each dancer's physical and intellectual potential as a starting point for creating new work from a philosophy of physical, psychological and social integration. In so doing, their work recognises and celebrates individuality.
