Online

Our online booking system means that you can book tickets for multiple shows quickly and easily, 24 hours a day. To book for a show, simply visit the listing under ‘What’s On’, and click the ‘Book Tickets’ link.

By telephone

Book over the phone by calling our Box Office during opening hours on 01642 525199.

In person

You can book tickets in person Mon – Sat during our Box Office opening times.

E-tickets

We now offer e-tickets. When you choose the e-ticket option we’ll email your tickets to you, which you can then show on your smartphone. As well as cutting down on queues at the entrance to our building and Box Office, this also helps us maintain social distancing and reduces our impact on the environment as we will need to print less tickets.

Pay What You Decide

All theatre and dance performances are priced on a Pay What You Decide basis.

This method of pricing means customers can attend shows without paying for a ticket beforehand, although tickets can still be reserved prior to a performance. After the show, you have the opportunity to make a donation of what you decide you want to, or can afford to pay, based on your overall enjoyment of the performance. Find out more information about this policy.

Contact details

When you book tickets, you will be asked to provide contact details, including your address, telephone number and email address. Whilst this is primarily used by ARC for marketing purposes, it also enables us to get in touch with you should there be any changes to the event you have booked for.

Booking fees

We charge a small booking fee of £0.50 per ticket booked online, over the phone or in person. (Excluding regular classes and activities).

How to pay

As part of our measures to stay COVID secure, we don’t accept cash. We accept the following credit and debit cards: Visa, Delta, Mastercard, Maestro and Electron. There is no charge for card payments.

Reservations

Tickets may be reserved in advance and can be held without payment for up to three days, or 24 hours before a show (whichever is sooner) by which time payment must be made to confirm the booking. We reserve the right to release unpaid reservations without notice if payment is not made within the time period indicated above.

Dynamic pricing policy

ARC’s policy is to set ticket prices for most of our music, comedy, and family events based on demand. This means that the price can go up or down depending on how tickets are selling, but it is most often the case that ticket prices will rise from the point of going on sale, meaning the best ticket prices can be secured by booking early. We won’t usually increase prices in the first calendar month of an event going on sale.

Dynamic pricing may also take the form of targeted offers, flash sales, or price incentives designed to sell single seats where they naturally appear.

On The Door Prices

Our dynamic pricing policy includes on the door pricing, meaning there will always be a final price increase from 10am on the day of the event, meaning it is best to book in advance of the event date.

Pricing Information

Listings on our website will always show the current ticket prices for each event. We’ll also do our best to make sure external listings show the current price, but this isn’t always possible so it’s best to double check the price on our website before completing your booking.

Our printed materials will always display the ‘starting from’ or ‘adv. tickets from’ price.

We will normally signpost upcoming price increases in advance via our emails and social media channels, and on our website, giving customers considering booking a final chance to get tickets at the best available price.

Refunds on events with dynamic pricing

Refunds issued on tickets for events where dynamic pricing has been applied will be subject to ARC’s general terms and conditions and refund policy. Where refunds are granted, the refund value will be based on the cost of the individual ticket at the time it was sold, not the current sale price of tickets, and will be subject to the usual handling fees.

Concessions

Concession tickets, subject to availability, are available to over 60s who are fully retired, those in receipt of income support, and full time students (NUS or College/Uni ID card).

Single Seats

It is our policy not to process a booking which subsequently leaves a single seat available on allocated events. This is due to the difficulty in selling a single seat for a performance. If you are trying to book tickets which would leave a single seat you can contact our Box Office team to assist with your booking.

Access requirements

If you have any access requirements for your visit, please contact the Box Office to discuss them. Click here for access details.

You can also let us know about any access requirements you have when booking online during the booking process.

Refunds & Returning tickets

Ticket refunds can only be offered for cancelled events.

Tickets for a sold-out performance may be returned to ARC for resale once all other tickets have been sold, and at the discretion of the Box Office. Should we successfully re-sell tickets we will credit your account with the full cost of the tickets minus a handling charge of £1 per ticket (booking fees are non-refundable). Where we are unable to resell your returned tickets we are unable to offer a refund. We reserve the right not to accept tickets for re-sale.

Only tickets purchased from our Box Office or our appointed agents are valid for admission. Re-selling your ticket for profit or commercial gain is not permitted.

Ticket agents

ARC occasionally sells tickets through agencies such as Ticketmaster, See Tickets or Skiddle. We accept no responsibility for tickets or services purchased via an agency or third party. Please be aware that agency tickets may be subject to different terms and conditions.
